Successful disputation of the dissertation of Mohammad Aldabbas
The 22nd of November 2022, the successful disputation of the dissertation of Mohammad Aldabbas, Research Assistant at the iimt, took place at the University of Fribourg.
His dissertation with the title “Smart Sovereignty and the Security of Society 5.0. An Explorative Study on the Challenges under the Technological Revolution, with Forecasting the Future” was examined and supervised by the former iimt Director, Prof. em. Dr. Stephanie Teufel as a first expert and Prof. Dr. Marino Widmer as a second supervisor.
Under the direction of Prof. Dr. Ulrich Ultes-Nitsche approximately 20 persons participated in the disputation, which started with a presentation of Mohammad’s dissertation and was followed by critical questions from the Jury and the participants.
The dissertation takes an innovative, holistic approach to the security topic. It is concerned with people and the future of society as a whole, which is becoming increasingly reliant on technology.
