Prof. Dr. Stephan Nüesch is the new director of the international institute of management in technology (iimt)

Welcoming the new boss!

We are proud to announce that our new Director, Prof. Dr. Stephan Nüesch, has taken up his position on February 1, 2023. He succeeds Prof. em. Dr. Stephanie Teufel, who has successfully led the iimt for over 20 years.

Since 2014 (and until the end of July 2023), Stephan Nüesch has been Full Professor at the University of Münster (Germany) and Head of the Business Management Group. In August 2023 he will become Full Professor in Technology and Innovation Management at the University of Fribourg (Switzerland).

Stephan Nüesch has extensive experience in executive education. Seven years ago, he founded a part-time MBA for physicians and healthcare executives in Münster. The MBA in Medical Management has been fully booked every year since its launch and has become well-known throughout Germany. In addition, Stephan Nüesch was and is active in various other MBAs, part-time master’s programs, and customer-specific in-house training courses.

The iimt team is looking forward to writing a new chapter of the iimt with him.

“Leading the iimt is a great honor for me. I want to express my great gratitude to Prof. em. Dr. Stephanie Teufel for building up the iimt, a leading competence center for management in technology providing excellent executive education.

I also want to thank Prof. Dr. Michael Burkert for being the Director ad interim for the last half year. I am glad that he will stay closely connected to the iimt by being the new President of the iimt institute council and the teaching professor at various courses at the iimt.
