The iimt was represented at the 9th International Sustainability Transitions Conference (IST9) by Dr. Anton Sentic, who submitted and presented a paper titled “The story of a “Cinderella” technology: barriers to and lessons learned from the history and present state of CHP in the UK” and also co-organised and moderated two conference sessions: the traditional “Newcomer session” at the beginning of the event, and a plenary session titled “Beyond the Nest: Career paths for transition professionals”.
The 2018 edition of the IST conference took part from June 11th to June 14th at the University of Manchester, in Manchester, UK. As one of the premier research conferences in the field of Transitions Studies and the official conference of the Sustainable Transitions Research Network, the conference drew a broad, international audience, with almost 90 paper, dialogue and plenary sessions and multiple other activities, including keynotes by Dr. Hans Bruyninckx, Executive Director of the European Environment Agency and other policymakers and scholars.
